BURL Audio is proud to announce the BDA12 ORCA, the latest BURL BLACK Monitor and DAC Daughter Card offering for the BURL Audio B80 and B16 Motherships. The BDA12 features 12 channels of class-A, discrete transistor op-amp, Digital to Analog Conversion, plus stereo, class-A, speaker and headphone, monitoring. The BDA12 employs the latest BURL Audio NextGen analog section featuring the BOPA14 op-amp, and multichannel DAC chip technology for increased channel density.
With its higher channel density, the BDA12 brings the superior class-A analog technology that BURL Audio is known for, at a lower cost per DAC channel compared to the existing BURL GREEN DAC and ORCA Monitor line.
The BDA12 in a B16 chassis is the ideal 12 channel line output plus stereo monitor section solution for recording musicians or project studios who have yearned for a Mothership, but the price point was beyond their budget. BURL BLACK: BURL BLACK is the new product line from BURL Audio that delivers a higher channel count at a lower price per channel than our current BURL GREEN product line, while maintaining an extremely high standard for the analog sections and conversion quality that BURL Audio is known for. The purpose of BURL BLACK is to further grow our markets in the realm of the project studio and the recording musician, as well as to capture more of the very high channel count professional recording studios that may not have the budget for our existing BURL GREEN product line.
