The Ultimate Distressor Evolution
The EL8-XXX comes standard with the highly sought-after Stereo Image Link and British Mode (all-buttons-in style compression) found on the EL8-X. However, the XXX edition pushes the boundaries further:
- Custom Triad HS-56 Input Transformer: We’ve integrated the award-winning Triad transformer at the input stage. Known for its incredible ability to inject "size" and clarity into low-end content, it provides a massive, high-fidelity foundation for your signal.
- Enhanced Saturation Profile: By utilizing specific discrete components and reducing input impedance to 600 ohms, the XXX model is designed to reach saturation earlier than the classic EL8, offering a creamier, more immediate harmonic character.
- Prototype Heritage: The front panel features the original "Distressor" logo, pulled directly from Dave Derr’s 1994 prototype, honoring the unit's 30-year legacy.
